Target Field is a beautiful place to be in the spring and summer, with its open-air park and perfect view of the Minneapolis skyline. Celebrate May with the Mayday Parade and festival in Minneapolis' Powderhorn Park. The parade begins at 12 p.m., and will be full of music, costumes and shows. Stay after for the festival and enjoy more entertainment and community fun. In The Heart Of The Beast Theatre sponsors this event and features handmade puppets and performing arts of all kinds. Enjoy food and canoe rides as well. This is a great opportunity to get out into the community this spring with the entire family.

One of only four cities in the United States to welcome this exhibit, the mummies event is phenomenal. Real mummies will be on display, along with artifacts of ancient Egypt. Learn about mummies and the world from which they came. While you're there, check out the rest of the museum and its interactive exhibits. The museum presents things in a way that helps kids enjoy science.

Starting in the Lowertown neighborhood of St. Paul, the annual art crawl brings art out into the community and puts it on display for everyone to enjoy. Sponsored by the St. Paul Art Collective, the art crawl provides a beautiful walk around historic neighborhoods and areas of the Lowertown lofts, where many artists live. Enjoy music and food during the event and maybe bid on a painting. Metro transit will be offering free rides to and from the art crawl all weekend.
