The May Day Parade and Festival, in the Powderhorn Park area of Minneapolis, has been a community event for almost 40 years now. Sponsored by the Heart of the Beast Theatre, the celebration is a community effort to mark the beginning of spring and get locals outdoors for some entertainment. The parade travels around the lake and the festival takes place right after the parade. Enjoy puppets, shows, music, and food along with many other family-oriented events.
