If the word "swanky" comes to mind when you step inside this popular Northeast Minneapolis restaurant, you wouldn't be alone. The space is classic 1930s supper club, and there is no detail left unattended. But that's not the reason to come, that's just an added perk. The steaks are always done to perfection, and they'd be just as enjoyable in the parking lot out back. For that juicy, delicious 20oz prime rib, Jax is the place to go. It's so good that even Nick Offerman (the steak-loving and ultimate authority on everything manly Ron Swanson from "Parks and Rec") chose this as restaurant for when he came to town.

While it might be a boar that made it into this downtown Minneapolis restaurant's name, the cow is certainly shown a lot of love as well. Of course you should try some of the house made sausages, and certainly the spare ribs which may be second to none, but we're talking about steak, and the 20oz Prime Ribeye is one of the best steaks you'll find in a downtown stacked full of steakhouses. This is a temple dedicated to great meats.
Joan's In The Park

It's a small restaurant, sure, but that doesn't mean that Joan's in the Park isn't doing big things with steak. One of the Twin Cities' hidden gems, it's tucked away in St. Paul's Highland Park where those in-the-know know that this is the place to go for a great steak. The simple, delicious rib eye comes from grass-fed beef, and is served with wild watercress and mushroom. There's not much else you need when you have a perfect cut of beef on the plate.

There's not much more to be said about Burch. It's an award-winning restaurant from award-winning chef/restaurateur Isaac Becker where steaks reign supreme. But no discussion about steak in the Twin Cities is complete without mentioning Burch, and the selection of steaks, from grass-fed, to Wagyu, are amazing. The prime ribeye, however, is a sure bet for dinner and one of the best around. It's one of those steaks where you don't speak while eating — there's nothing to be said. Only rib to be enjoyed. You'll forget all about the pizza that is also served here, but if anyone in your group isn't feeling steak, it is a nice option.
