Don't miss the Family Paint series at the Austin ArtWorks Center, where families can collaborate their artistic efforts on a single canvas or each make their own special treasure to take home. Current cost for Austin Area Commission for the Arts members is $25 per canvas or $30 for non-members. The Family Paint sessions typically last for two hours on a Saturday. Other events and classes at the center include live musical performances, introduction to knitting and beginner clay classes.

Free family art classes happen once per month at the Rumriver Art Center in Anoka. These 60-minute classes give kids over the age of five and their caregivers the tools, instruction and inspiration to explore their creativity.
