Sanders To Tout Clinton's Economic Plan In Mpls., Duluth

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – When Bernie Sanders visits Minnesota in support of Hillary Clinton on Tuesday, he'll be stopping at University of Minnesota campuses in Minneapolis and Duluth.

According to Clinton's campaign, the Vermont senator's first stop in Minnesota will be a rally at Northrop Auditorium on the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus. Doors to the event will open at 2 p.m. and the rally starts at 3 p.m.

Sanders will then make his way north for another rally at the Kirby Student Center on the Duluth campus. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the rally is slated to start at 6:30 p.m.

Campaign officials say that Sanders will speak to voters about Clinton's economic plan and encourage listeners to vote.

Back in March, Sanders crushed Clinton in Minnesota's Democratic caucus. Now, he's campaigning on his former rival's behalf in an effort to ensure Republican nominee Donald Trump doesn't win the White House.

Of particular concern to Clinton is the vote of young people, a demographic that Sanders was able to rally in his bid for the Democratic nomination.
