BCA: Suspect In Custody In Pine City Playground Assault
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a man is in custody after a female victim was sexually assaulted at a park in Pine City Tuesday.
Authorities say the assault took place just after 9 p.m. at Robinson Park. The female victim said that she was on the playground when a man approached her and asked numerous times for her to get in his car with him.
When she refused to go, the man forcibly removed her pants and sexually assaulted her. During the assault, the victim said that a person in the area yelled to them and the man told her to be quiet.
After the assault, the man reportedly got into his car and drove off south on 5th Street Southeast and then west on 3rd Avenue Southeast.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a bright-orange sweatshirt, blue jeans and his shoes had bright green laces. The victim also said the man had short blonde hair and acne on his face. His vehicle was described only as a lighter-colored four-door car.
The BCA will release more information on this case sometime Thursday.
