Bar Abilene In Uptown Closes
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A popular Uptown bar has surprisingly closed its doors for good, according to messages left on its social media accounts.
Overnight, the people who run Bar Abilene's Twitter and Facebook sent this message: "Thank you Uptown! We love you and will miss you."
Additionally, a sign was posted on their front door that read, ""Old cowboys never die, they just keep moving on."
The restaurant and bar has served up tapas, Tex-Mex and tequilas on Lagoon Avenue South for more than 15 years.
It was not clear why the bar decided to close.
