Bailey Hits Game-Winner, Gopher Women Beat Indiana 78-76
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Mikayla Bailey hit a late 3-pointer and grabbed a last-second rebound as the University of Minnesota women's basketball team beat Indiana 78-76 on Sunday at Williams Arena.
Rachel Banham scored 24 points to lead the Gophers and in the process moved into third place on the Big Ten's career scoring list. Shayne Mullaney, Carlie Wagner and Allina Starr also all scored in double figures for Minnesota.
Bailey's 3-pointer gave the Gophers a 78-76 lead with less than 20 seconds left. Her offensive rebound after a missed free throw sealed the win.
The Gophers (11-6, 3-3) host Northwestern at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
