Authorities: Cambridge Principal Arrested For Stalking, Fleeing Peace Officer
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A school principal in central Minnesota was booked in jail after being arrested early Sunday morning.
Christopher Grote, the principal at Cambridge Primary School in Cambridge, was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, public nuisance, stalking and fleeing a peace officer, according to Isanti County Jail records.
When asked for comment, the superintendent of the Cambridge-Isanti district said: "We are aware of the situation and are continuing to work through it at this time."
The case is currently under investigation by the Isanti County Sheriff's Office and will be referred to the Isanti County Attorney's Office on Monday morning to consider formal charges.
The school district's website says Grote been principal for eight years and was a teacher with the district before that.
