Austin's Spam Museum Is On The Move
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A popular Minnesota tourism attraction is moving, but not very far.
Hormel Foods announced this week that it's building a new Spam Museum in downtown Austin, Minn.
The current building is on the company's nearby corporate headquarters, less than a mile away from the new site.
City leaders hope the move brings museum visitors into town to spend more money at local businesses.
Construction on the new Spam Museum could start later this year. It could welcome its first guests by spring of 2016.
