Attempted Abductions Near Rochester School Under Investigation

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Rochester police are investigating a reported attempted abduction near an elementary school last week.

Parents in Rochester were notified Tuesday about the incident at Riverside Central Elementary School.

Rochester police say two students were walking home from the school bus stop on Friday afternoon when a man and woman tried to separate them.

The man had a knife. The woman took photos and video of the kids with her phone.

The 7-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother ran home.

Police say staff at the school, reported a woman matching the same description was seen taking photos and video as children were dropped off Friday morning.
