2 Killed In Goodhue County Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two people are dead after a multi-vehicle crash Friday night in Goodhue County.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. just north of Zumbrota on Highway 52.
A Chevy Impala traveling southbound crossed the median into the northbound lane, colliding with a semi truck. Another semi then struck the Impala.
Forty-seven-year-old Juan P. Martinez, of Valrico, Fla., and Minneapolis resident Aishia Y. Ruiz, 23, were killed in the crash.
Twenty-two-year-old Paul A. Martinez, from Rochester, was seriously injured.
Both truck drivers -- 62-year-old Paul V. Eversman of Wabasha and 57-year-old Mark E. Batz of Apple Valley -- were unharmed.
The state patrol is investigating.
