Officials: 3 found dead in Coon Rapids home, suspect taken into custody
COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Authorities arrested a suspect after three people were found dead inside a Coon Rapids residence on Friday.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, 911 dispatch central communications received a 911 call at approximately 12:24 p.m. with "sounds of a disturbance in the background." Coon Rapids police, Blaine police and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 200 block of 94th Avenue Northwest. The home is in the vicinity of a hotel.
Upon arrival, responders found three dead people inside the home — two males and one female. Investigators are still looking into their identities and ages. Two juveniles were in the home at the time of the incident, authorities say, but they were not injured.
At this time, the incident is being investigated as a homicide. Investigators are not saying how the victims died, but they are gathering more information.
"If they do know anything, please give us a call, give non-emergency dispatch a call. Always be vigilant and on alert," sheriff's office spokesperson Tierney Peters said.

Anoka County dispatch said a suspect was taken into custody Friday evening in connection to the triple homicide.
Police tape has been removed and traffic is running smoothly now that it's no longer blocked off. It's a much different scene from early Friday when squad cars lit up the neighborhood for hours while authorities canvassed the area, combing through the brush looking for clues while setting up dozens of orange evidence markers in and around the vicinity of the house.
Kaydee Lanahan explains how shocking it was to see it all unfold in her quiet neighborhood. "Kind of gives a bit of sense of not feeling safe in a way," Lanahan said, pointing to the route she usually takes with her son. "That's the route I take to take him to school every day. I've just never noticed anything."
Earlier at a press conference authorities told WCCO that there was a 911 call placed, but no one was responding. Law enforcement eventually showed up to the home and that's when that gruesome discovery was made. Officers told WCCO they will remain parked outside of the home to secure it throughout the night.
