Shooting shatters glass at Dinkytown restaurant, no arrests

MINNEAPOLIS -- Dinkytown restaurant Burrito Loco closed temporarily following an overnight shooting that shattered one of its windows.

According to police, the shooting incident happened shortly after 12:30 a.m. on 13th Avenue Southeast, which is outside the restaurant.

A witness at the scene said she heard arguing followed by gunshots.

One of the restaurant's windows was shattered by what appeared to be a gunshot.

Burrito Loco released a statement on social media late Friday morning, announcing the closure.

"We will be closed until further notice. We value the safety of our staff and guests that support our establishment and cannot condone the actions of last night," the statement said.

Police say they've collected evidence at the scene, including bullet casings and damage to two apartments in the area. Investigators have spoken with witnesses in the area when gunshots were heard and are looking into surveillance video.

No victims were located. No arrests have been made.
