Another Armed Robbery Reported Near 'U'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say that another armed robbery has been reported in the same area as a string of earlier robberies near the University of Minnesota campus.
The most recent robbery was reported early Saturday morning on the walk bridge over Interstate 35W in the area of 5th Street and 9th Avenue Southeast.
The suspects said they were approached by two black men in their early 20s. One was wearing a black jacket and a black beanie, and the other was wearing a red jacket.
In other recent cases, the suspects were similarly described as black men in their early 20s, but the reported heights ranged from 6 feet, 2 inches in height to 5 feet, 8 inches tall.
