Anoka's Halloween Parade Turns 94 This Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If you want a dose of history with your Halloween entertainment, get outside for the annual Anoka Halloween Parade.

It's the 94th year and it has the largest parade of floats and bands in the state. This year's theme is pumpkins.

WCCO This Morning's Jamie Yuccas will serve as the grand marshal this year.

About 70,000 people are expected to attend.

A vintage military flyover will kick off the festivities.

If you want to check it out, the parade starts at 1 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in Anoka.

The parade is free and kid-friendly with none of the scarier Halloween themes.
