Andover High Schoolers To Hold Prom For Senior Citizens
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Hair and makeup? Check. Tuxedo? Check. Now it's just waiting for that special date to arrive.
It's almost showtime for a special group of Twin Cities seniors. They may be pushing their 90s, but they are finding you're never too old to go to prom.
A group of Andover High School students is putting on prom for residents of Arbor Oaks Senior Living, where they have been volunteering their time weekly since last fall.
Arbor Oaks spokesperson Jennifer Jude says it has been a wonderful learning experience.
Jude says local businesses have donated prom dresses and professional hairstyling for the senior prom goers. This year's theme is "Carnival."
