Amy Senser To Leave Prison This Week

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Amy Senser is scheduled to leave prison this week to enter a work release facility.

Starting this Thursday, the wife of former Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser will be transferred from the Shakopee prison to a jail or halfway house.

She will remain there until October 20, and then be on supervised release until December 2015, which marks the end of her 41-month sentence.

Amy Senser was convicted in the hit-and-run death of 38-year-old Anousaone Phanthavong in 2011.

He was struck and killed while refilling his gas tank on an Interstate 94 ramp in Minneapolis.
