13-Month-Old Girl, Mother Found Safe Following Amber Alert

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say a mother and her 13-month-old daughter were found safe Friday after they were abducted by the child's non-custodial father and an Amber Alert was issued.

The Coon Rapids Police Department says 25-year-old Erica Liasha Crumb and 13-month-old Kasina Smith were found safe in Minneapolis. The non-custodial father and abduction suspect, 29-year-old Milo Levell Smith, was taken into custody.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says Smith, who has a restraining order against him, kidnapped the child and Crumb around 1 p.m. near a doctor's office on the 9000 block of Spring Drive Northwest in Coon Rapids. Shortly after, an Amber Alert was issued.
