Easy Winter Means Early Summer Vacation For School District
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Alexandria School District 206 will be letting out for summer vacation ahead of schedule.
According to an announcement from the district, the school board voted to push the final day of classes from Tuesday, June 7 to Friday, June 3.
The district said that the reason for the change was that the district didn't have to use the days they built in for the purpose of closing for inclement winter weather.
The district said that teachers would still have professional development on those two extra work days.
