MINNEAPOLIS – Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will no longer be visiting Minnesota in person Monday, due to a ground stop at Washington Reagan National Airport.

Vilsack, a member of the Biden administration, was supposed to be visiting as farmers in Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin are struggling with drought.

Now, Vilsack will host a press call with Minnesota Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith. The call will focus on new funding made available for homegrown biofuels across the country. It's part of the USDA's effort to put money towards climate-related research and development that's being done in Minnesota.
