Colorado Vet Who Lost Service Dog Gets Help From Minnesotans

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Colorado veteran who recently lost his beloved dog is now starting a new chapter of his life.

It's thanks to some generous strangers from Minnesota.

Brian Gliba is a former combat medic dealing with PTSD and several injuries.

Gliba says he was close to ending his life before a service dog named Zeus helped to pull him out of his deep depression.

He even started a nonprofit to help other veterans.

Gliba was heartbroken when he recently lost his St. Bernard to cancer.

After the story was seen on TV and the internet, people all over wanted to help, including Tom Berger and Drew Austin from Sartell, Minnesota.

Tom and Drew work for AAA Courier. The company paid for their special delivery to Colorado.

The guys delivered a St. Bernard named Cleo. She was the runt of their recent five-pup litter.

Gliba plans to get Cleo trained as a service dog and take her to veterans' events with him.
