After 40+ Days, Mississippi River In St. Paul Drops Below Flood Stage

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After 42 days, the Mississippi River in St. Paul is now below flood stage, according to St. Paul Emergency Management officials.

River levels for the Mississippi, which were above flood stage since March 23, dipped back below flood stage on Monday.

St. Paul Public Works is now working with Ramsey County Public Works to assess both Shepard and Warner roads.

That 42-day stretch surpasses the previous record in the area, which was 33 days above flooding stage, back in 2001.
