Adult found dead of gunshot wound near Lake Street in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS —  An adult who was found shot to death in south Minneapolis has been identified. 

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the report of "a person down outside" brought officers, along with medics and other first responders, to the 3000 block of Fourth Avenue South around 9 a.m. on Nov. 29, 2023. 

The responders found the victim with an apparent fatal gunshot wound, according to reports. The victim was initially identified as 38-year-old Miguel Stillday, but WCCO has since learned their preferred name was Savannah Williams. 

Homicide detectives continue to investigate. No arrests have been made.
