Adrian Peterson Takes To Twitter To Talk Vikings Contract

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson isn't happy about his current contract situation with the team, and he's taking to social media to sound off.

That's all while the Vikings are holding organized team activities at Winter Park in Eden Prairie this week. Peterson, to no surprise, is not attending the workouts and missing out on money because of it. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer addressed the media Tuesday on Peterson and said "Adrian really has two choices. He can play here this season or not play at all."

Peterson played in one game last season after allegations of child abuse surfaced. He eventually reached a plea deal after admitted to hitting his 4-year-old son with a switch as a form of discipline.

Peterson is due to make $12.75 million with the Vikings this season, though none of it is guaranteed. He would be the highest-paid running back in the NFL this season. He could make his first Vikings appearance in a few weeks at mandatory mini camp, where he will be fined if he does not show. Check out a sample of Peterson's tweets below.
