7 Indicted For Trafficking Cocaine & Marijuana Into Minn. Via Fedex
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The United States Attorney's Office announced the indictment of seven people in connection to the trafficking of cocaine and marijuana into Minnesota from California and Arizona via FedEx and the United States Postal Service.
On Thursday, US Attorney Andrew Luger said 33-year-old Anthony Curtis Harris, of San Diego, California – with help from Kevin Brown, Toussaint Starks, Lopez Walters, Simon Mason, Donald Williams and Darion Estis -- committed the crimes between December 2012 and April 2, 2015.
Harris is accused of making multiple trips from Minnesota to San Diego, California and Phoenix, Arizona to obtain drugs and arrange their shipment to Minnesota. The other defendants allegedly sent, received and distributed drugs, or laundered money on Harris' behalf.
Harris faces three charges: conspiracy to distribute marijuana and cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The other defendants, all from Minnesota, face one to two felony charges of similar nature.
The indictment is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the St. Paul police, the USPS Inspections, and the Internal Revenue Service – Criminal Investigation Division.
