7 Escape Minneapolis House Fire, Firefighter Hospitalized

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A house fire spread to a neighboring residence before being knocked down by fire crews Saturday morning in Minneapolis.

The fire happened just before 7 a.m. on the 3500 block of 3rd Avenue South.

Minneapolis fire officials say it started on the front porch of two-story home and was fully engulfed in flames.

Seven people made it out of the home without injuries, but a firefighter was taken to the hospital for a heat-related injury.

The cause is under investigation.
