Sheriff: $40,000 Worth Of Meth Seized In Carlton County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Carlton County officials say they seized $40,000 worth of meth being transported by a Cloquet man Wednesday.
According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped 44-year-old Adam David Coffin because he had prior information Coffin was transporting controlled substances.
Coffin refused a request to search his vehicle. A drug-sniffing dog positively identified an odor of a controlled substance. The vehicle was towed and a search warrant was executed on it.
Authorities arrested Coffin Thursday for multiple offenses stemming from this incident, including first degree possession of methamphetamine, the sheriff's office said.
