4 Things To Know: Hwy 169 Closure, Subway's Jared Fogle's Plea & More

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- From a lengthy closure of Highway 169 in Edina to a former Subway spokesman expected to plead guilty to child porn charges, here are the four stories to know for Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Lengthy Highway 169 Closure

After a summer of frustrating road closures, MnDOT announces part of Highway 169 in Edina will be closed for up to a year.

The agency will give information from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

The only good news: the closure won't take place until the fall of 2016 when current construction projects on Highway 100 and Interstate 494 are completed.

Subway has issued a statement, saying it has already ended its relationship with Fogle.

Starbucks & Wine

Those small plates will look like real restaurant appetizers, think truffle mac and cheese and bacon wrapped dates.

Seventy locations will start participating in what the company calls "evenings." So far it isn't here, just Denver, Miami, Orlando, New York and northern California.
