On Tuesday, authorities released the name of the victims: Darrell Mattson, 73; Denise Mattson, 68; and Kirk Mattson, 47.

It was also announced Tuesday that the suspect was found dead at another location. Their identity, and possible motive, haven't been released.

"They had a beautiful garden, they loved to share fruits, vegetables with us. They were just real nice people," said neighbor Chris Koecher. "It's nerve-racking, uneasy. It's such a quiet community, stuff like this doesn't happen up here."

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is involved in the investigation.
