3 Gophers To Participate At NFL Scouting Combine

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota will have three former players at the NFL scouting combine this week.

Linebacker De'Vondre Campbell and cornerbacks Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Eric Murray are among the more than 300 participants at the league's annual examination of prospects for the upcoming draft. This is the second straight year the Gophers have sent three players to the event. Running back David Cobb, tight end Maxx Williams and linebacker Damien Wilson went in 2015.

Campbell started 27 games in three years and led the Gophers with four sacks last season. Boddy-Calhoun's 10 career interceptions tied him for sixth on the program's all-time list. Murray was a three-year starter who was rarely thrown at by opposing quarterbacks.

Linebackers take part in on-field drills on Sunday. Defensive backs have theirs on Monday.
