2 Men To Make Court Appearances In Separate Maplewood Homicides
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two men facing murder charges in two separate Maplewood killings are making their first appearances in Ramsey County Court Thursday afternoon.
According to the county attorney's office, Ronald Smaller and Larry Tennin both face second-degree murder charges.
Smaller, who faces two counts of second-degree murder, is accused of severely beating Eduardo Alberto Figueroa, who was celebrating his 40th birthday party at Fred's Tiki Hut in Maplewood on Nov. 11, 2014. Figueroa later died.
Tennin is accused of shooting and killing his wife, April Tennin, in their Maplewood townhouse in late August. Her three children were at home at the time.
Tennin was later arrested in Illinois.
If convicted, both face more 40 years in prison per charge.
