2 Duluth Men Arrested, Awaiting Charges For Home Invasion
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two Duluth men are in custody on suspicion of breaking into a man's home and stealing several of his firearms at gunpoint.
The St. Louis Sheriff's office says deputies were called to a residence on Rehbein Road at about 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, two men fled from the residence into the woods, dropping several firearms along the way.
The homeowner told deputies two men forced him at gunpoint to open his gun safe.
One suspect was caught trying to steal a car after deputies set up a perimeter in the area. A K-9 officer tracked the second suspect to a nearby swamp.
John Scott Sorenson, 29, and Guy Robert Franklin Rabold, 24, are being held at the St. Louis County Jail, where they await first-degree burglary and aggravated burglary charges.
