18-Year-Old Arrested For Esko School Bomb Threat
ESKO, Minn. (WCCO) - An 18-year-old Esko student is in the Carlton County Jail after being arrested for allegedly writing a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of Esko School on Tuesday.
According to the Carlton County Sheriff's Office, Eddie Michael Edwards is suspected of leaving a written threat that was found around noon on Tuesday in the K-12 school.
The building was evacuated, and everyone moved to a nearby church while bomb detection dogs were dispatched. The FBI was also involved in the situation.
Edwards was arrested Thursday for felony terroristic threats, and is awaiting formal charges.
Esko is located approximately 16 miles southwest of Duluth.
