Police say passengers weren't wearing seat belts in fatal I-35 crash near Wyoming

WYOMING, Minn. -- A  37-year-old man is dead after a serious crash on I-35 in Chisago County.

Minnesota State Patrol say a Chevrolet truck was traveling south on I-35 near Viking Boulevard early Friday afternoon when it hit a guardrail and rolled into the left median. 

Both passengers, who were not wearing seatbelts, were ejected, causing fatal injuries for Brian Newby and sending a 33-year-old woman to Regions Hospital.

The driver is reported to have minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
