Better luck next year
The heat once again kept the crowds at the Minnesota State Fair at bay, with Sunday's figures registering the smallest number of admissions of all three fairs since the pandemic.
Sunday saw 141,326 admissions, fewer than the 153,422 from 2021 or the 222,202 seen in 2022. It was also more than 100,000 short of the 2019 record 245,243 for Day 11.
With only Labor Day's admissions to count, there have been 1,716,095 admissions this year so far. Even if today's figure breaks the standing Labor Day record, it won't be enough to make 2023 a record-breaking year.
Last chance to try these new State Fair foods!
Eating the food is one of the best parts of the state fair, and every year, there are new options to try.
There are nearly three dozen new foods this year, with a handful of brand-new vendors. From pickle lemonade to lutefisk steam buns, there are a lot to choose from.
We've made you a guide, reviewing the newest state fair foods. Check it out while there's still technically time to get out there!
