Plane Plunge In Western Broward

There were three people on board. Two passengers and the pilot. (CBS4)

The crew of Chopper 4 spotted the plane off US 27 north of Griffin Road. (CBS4)

Chopper 4 landed and the crew quickly ran to help and called Fire Rescue (CBS4)

All three people in the plane were hurt. (CBS4)

The passengers, however, got out while the pilot was stuck. (CBS4)

Fire Rescue crews arrived to rescue the pilot and treat the injured.

The plane came down right next to a dirt road and a canal, right into the muck. (CBS4)

They used the jaws of life to remove the top of the plane in order to pull him out. (CBS4)
