Woman's Body Found On Side Of Don Shula Expressway

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - An investigation is underway after a woman's body was found on the side of the road.
The Florida Highway Patrol a Road Ranger spotted the body on State Road 874/Don Shula Expressway north just beyond the Turnpike around 3:30 a.m.
Investigators aren't sure how she died. The don't believe she was hit by a car, jumped from the nearby overpass or committed suicide. They said it appears she was dead before she was left on the road.
The FHP is waiting for the results of an autopsy at the Miami Dade Medical Examiner's Office.
The woman's name has not been released.
