Woman Injured In Pompano Beach Hit & Run

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) - The search is on for a Ford truck which was involved in a hit and run accident in Pompano Beach Wednesday morning.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said around 6:20 a.m. they received a call about the accident. A woman, described as being in her 50s, was walking in the 1500 block of Blount Road when she was struck from behind by witnesses said was a white pick up truck with a camper cover of the bed of the truck.

The badly injured woman was taken to Broward Health North where she was listed in critical condition.

The sheriff's office said the vehicle they are looking for will have damage to the front passenger side and hood.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or who was driving it at the time of the accident is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
