Woman Found Engulfed In Flames Inside Home, No Cause Determined Yet
CLEARWATER (CBSMiami/AP) — Investigators are trying to find out what happened to cause a woman to catch on fire and die in her Clearwater home.
Officials say 44-year-old Rhonda Wolfe died late Wednesday, hours after she was found engulfed in flames inside her Clearwater home's garage. Her husband called 911 and she was flown to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in critical condition.
According to public safety officials in Clearwater, the husband found the woman fully engulfed in flames inside the garage of their home.
Police and fire officials were at the scene early Thursday. An official from the State Fire Marshal's Office, and the fire department's arson dog were also at the house.
An autopsy is planned.
