Westbound MacArthur Cswy Re-Opens After Crash
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The westbound lanes of the MacArthur Causeway were shut down for several hours Tuesday morning after a crash near Alton Road.
Miami Beach police said around 2:20 a.m. the driver of a Chevy Camaro collided with a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Camaro stayed on the scene. Police do not suspect alcohol played a role in the crash but excessive speed may have.
The westbound lanes of the causeway were closed for just about six hours for the accident investigation.
