MIAMI (CBSMiami) - We're in for a bumpy ride weather-wise on Friday.
There is a potential for strong to severe storms throughout the day, according to CBS4 meteorologist Michael Smith.
There is even a chance South Florida could be placed under a severe thunderstorm watch or tornado watch.
Conditions are favorable for isolated storms with damaging winds along with a few tornadoes. Strong mid-to-upper level winds aloft combined with unstable atmospheric conditions will allow for increased storm development throughout the morning into the early afternoon hours.
Once this line of potential storms passes, a cold front will sweep through, drying us out with the coldest air so far this season to start the weekend.
