Weekend Weather Is All About Timing
MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- The weekend kicks off with a decent start! It's all about "timing!"
Sunshine will be breaking through the clouds early Saturday morning. It's great timing for anything outdoors around that time!
The sunshine will help "trigger" the atmosphere's layers that are pretty darn "moist" from top to bottom.
Combine that with a few other atmospheric variables causing South Florida storms to blossom and spread.
What about the all-important, when?
The best chance for storms are on Saturday in the afternoon hours.
Once those nasty storms develop, you'll see heavy rain and lightning along with gusty winds.

This evening scattered storms are still possible. Transitioning into Sunday, will the storms shuffle out? Likely not. Sunday's "forecast" is shaping up to be very similar to Saturday's.
Will there be a weekend washout? Not totally!
For those heading to the Dolphins game on Sunday, kickoff is at 4:25 p.m at Sun Life Stadium with the Kansas City Chiefs visiting South Florida. If you're at the game, don't forget to #FinsOn4.
