MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Volunteers participated in a cleanup on Miami Beach to help get rid of debris and litter left behind by the Spring Break crowds.
Hosted by Miami Beach Commissioner Michael Grieco and other volunteer groups, the event drew hundreds of people around the community Saturday from kids to couples to South Beach hotties.
They all spent the morning picking up bottles, cans and trash found along the shore.
"We want to thank all of the volunteers who dedicated their time to our city," said Commissioner Grieco. "The beach is now litter-free and we intend to keep it that way."
The 10-block cleanup began on 4th Street and Ocean Drive.
