US1 NB Traffic Shifts Near FLL

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Drivers on US1 near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will notice a change in their commute.
There is a shift in traffic for vehicles heading North on US1.
In addition, the airport entrance ramp from US 1 northbound is now open to traffic.
The shift is part of the final traffic alignment for US 1 in conjunction with the South Runway Project.
The final traffic alignment will have, three lanes of traffic for US 1 northbound, three lanes for US 1 southbound and two lanes for the northbound entrance ramp to the airport.
The South Runway opened on September 18th.
