Undercover Operation Nabs 29 People On Drugs, Guns Charges

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami/AP) — Nearly three dozen people have been indicted on various gun and drug charges in South Florida.
During the course of the multi-agency law enforcement operation, those charged allegedly sold a total of 285 firearms to undercover officers, including AR-15s, AKs, pistols, revolvers, a short barrel rifle and a police sniper rifle. They are also accused of selling heroin, flakka, cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana to undercover officers.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said that charges were filed against 29 people in 23 separate cases.
The operation was centered in Pompano Beach and involved the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Broward Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force.
