UCF Students Want To Make Bionic Arms For Syrian Children

ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) —A group of engineering students who used 3-D printers to make prosthetic arms for children want to use their talents to help those in Syria.
The nonprofit group founded by the University of Central Florida students, Limbitless Solutions, is holding a fundraiser in Orlando to pay for 75 prosthetic arms for children maimed in the conflict in Syria.
The students hope to raise $40,000, and they will deliver the prosthetic arms to Syrian children in need starting next year.
The engineering students have delivered eight arms to children since last year. The arms typically cost $350 to make and are given to the children without charge.
