Twitter Aiming To Expand 140-Character Limit On Tweets

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Reports are surfacing that Twitter may soon allow users to write more than a 140 characters in a tweet.
The company has reportedly been exploring this idea for months.
The limit could grow to 10,000 characters, which is the same limit for direct messages.
Tweets would still appear the way they do now, with a user needing to click on a link to see the expanded post.
Twitter has declined to comment.
