PALM BEACH (CBSMiami) -- President Donald Trump attended the funeral of the Rev. Billy Graham Friday in Charlotte N.C. before he traveled back to South Florida for quick trip to Mar-A-Lago.
The President and First Lady arrived at Palm Beach International Airport around 3:15pm, earlier than expected.
The President came down the stairs holding hands with the First Lady.
They entered a limo and the motorcade was on the move toward Mar-a-Lago at 3:20.
Along the way supporters lined up the streets.
"We're here to support the President anytime he comes home. Thinking that he attended Reverend Graham's funeral my wife made a sign in respect to that great crowd today and it was fun time," said Chris Moore.
"We love our faith and we love our President and we love the Trump family so we're always here and support anytime we can," said Christy Moore.
Mr. Trump held a roundtable with Republican National Committee supporters Friday night which was closed to the press and then delivered remarks at the Republican National Committee Spring Donor Retreat Dinner.
It is his 14th Palm Beach visit since taking office.
Trump is scheduled to return to Washington on Saturday afternoon to speak at the annual Gridiron Club dinner. A fundraiser for Trump's 2020 re-election campaign was scheduled for Saturday night at Mar-a-Lago, but the event could be pushed to lunchtime to accommodate the president's Gridiron appearance, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Every day the President spends at Mar-a-Lago, Palm Beach County spends at least $65,000 to help keep him safe, said Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.
