Tropical Storm Nicole Less Organized

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Tropical Storm Nicole is less organized than it was over the weekend but it is still forecast to strengthen.

At 11 a.m. the center of the system as about 455 miles south of Bermuda.

Nicole's maximum sustained winds were 60 mph as it moved north at 6 mph. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 185 miles from the center.

A turn toward the north-northwest is expected by tonight, followed by a turn toward the northwest on Tuesday.

Slow strengthening is expected to begin by tonight, and Nicole is forecast to become a hurricane on Tuesday.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.

Swells associated with Nicole and what's left of Matthew should increase on Bermuda during the next couple of days. These swells will create dangerous surf conditions and rip currents.
